Annapurna Circuit Trek -14 days Itinerary

  • Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu

    You will arrive at the Airport in Kathmandu. One of our team representatives from Snowland Treks will welcome you at the airport and take you to your hotel. You will rest for the day, and later in the evening, you will meet with your guide. He will brief you about the trip and also take you to a Nepali restaurant for welcome dinner organized by the company.

  • Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar by bus. Drive a little further and hike up to Bahundanda

    After having breakfast, we will drive to Besisahar. The drive will be scenic and present us with beautiful views of rivers, lush green hills, terraced fields, and small villages. From Besisahar, we will drive a little further, and begin our trek to Bahundanda through the forested trail.

  • Day 03 Bahundanda to Chamje

    After having breakfast, we will trek to Chamje. We will gradually ascend through the forested trail and reach Chamje. Chamje is a small beautiful village. The trail will be short and easy.

  • Day 04 Chamje to Dharapani

    We will cross a bridge and pass by rice, barley, and potato fields. On the way, we will also come across lovely waterfalls. The trail will take us to Kodo village and then to Dharapani where we will stop for the night. Dharapani is one of the biggest villages in the region.

  • Day 05 Dharapani to Chame

    Today, the trail will be remarkably adventures and scenic. We will come across several steep forested ridges and landslides sections. The trail will present us fantastic views of Mt. Annapurna II (7,937 m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7,525 m), and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m). On the way, we will visit a small hot spring where we will take a small break and relax for a while.

  • Day 06 Chame to Pisang

    After having breakfast, we will trek through steep narrow valley to see the view of Paungda Danda rock face, a huge curved rock face rising 1,500 meters from the river. We will also get to see amazing views of Mt. Annapurna II (7,937 m) in the south and Pisang Peak (6,091 m) in the north-east. Further, we will descend to the Manang Valley floor and reach the Pisang where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 07 Pisang to Manang

    Today, we will two routes to reach Manang. We will go with the one that passes through Upper Pisang via Geru. This route presents outstanding views of Pisang Peak (6,091 m), Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), and numerous others along with ancient villages and rich culture. As we will reach near Manang, the climate becomes more cold and dry. On the way, we will visit Barge Monastery, the biggest monastery in the Manang region.

  • Day 08 Acclimatization in Manang

    Today is our rest day at Manang to acclimatize our body with the increased altitude. However, we will spend our day exploring nearby areas. We will go on a short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. If we are not tired, we can also hike to Vraga Village where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association, which will give us some idea about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).

  • Day 09 Manang to Yak Kharka

    Crossing a stream, we will ascend to a village of Tenki above Manang. From here, we will ascend out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest to reach Jarsang Khola valley. We will then pass by a few pastures and juniper trees. We will reach Ghunsa, a small village with a cluster of flat mud roofs. Further, the trail goes through meadows and crossing a small river on a thrilling wooden bridge, we will pass by the ancient mani wall. The trail from here will lead us to Yak Kharka, a beautiful small village.

  • Day 10 Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi

    After having a warm breakfast, we will ascend to Thorong Phedi. We will cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. From here, we will ascend through towering cliffs and reach Thorong Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. On the way, we will get to see outstanding views of Thorong Peak, Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, and Mt. Khatungkan.

  • Day 11 Thorong Phedi to Muktinath

    Today, we will wake up early and begin trekking towards Muktinath, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites of Hindus. Before reaching Muktinath, we will cross challenging Thorong La(5416m/17769ft) Pass from where we will get to see the captivating view of the surrounding. After spending some time at the pass, we will descend down to Muktinath Valley located at the foot of the Thorong La pass.

  • Day 12 Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni

    We will descend down from Muktinath to Mustang district. We will notice a dramatic change in scenery as we descend down to the Kali Gandaki valley. Here, we will come across the deepest gorge in the world, Kali Gandaki gorge. We will reach Kagbeni, and further, following a rugged trail of Kali Gandaki River, we will finally arrive at Jomsom.

  • Day 13 Fly back to Pokhara or Take a local bus or jeep to Pokhara

    After having breakfast soaking breath-taking views, we will fly back to Pokhara. The flight will be scenic and presents us with stunning views of Himalayan mountains. We also have the option to take a local bus/jeep to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, we will head to our hotel and rest for the day. Later, we will stroll on the vibrant streets of Lakeside and do some shopping.

  • Day 14 Fly or drive to Kathmandu

    Today, we will fly/drive back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will head to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for us to relax or explore on our own. In the evening, we will attend a farewell dinner organized by the company in celebration of our successful completion of the journey.
