After your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Snowland Adventure. He will transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet with your guide, and he will brief you about tomorrow's program. You will end your day with a welcome dinner organized by the company.

Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport (1360m/4462ft)

Day 02 Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
After breakfast, we begin our guided tour to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. We will visit Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, and end our day visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square where we will see beautiful art & architecture of the medieval period and get closer to the history of Nepal.

Day 03 Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2618m/8590ft) -4 hours
We take an early flight to Lukla airport. The flight will be scenic and offers us panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon reaching Lukla (2840m/9318ft), we begin our trek towards Phakding village. The surrounding mountains become more visible as the trek progresses. The first part of the trail will lead us to Cheplung village from where we will see a beautiful view of Mt. Khumbila (5,761m). Then, we will descend to the north of Lukla and the Dudh Koshi River Valley where Phakding village is situated.

Day 04 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft) -6/7 hours
Leaving Phakding behind, we head towards Namche Bazar passing through several villages like Jorsale and Monjo, which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. From here, the trail passes through the national park that includes numerous small rivers, untamed streams, alpine woods, and dense forests. After passing through Jorsale village you will reach the Imja Khola river and the gorge which has famous twin suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags. We will climbing for about an hour to reach Namche Bazar from where superb views of Mt. Thamserku (6,623 m) and Kongdi Ri Himal (5,115 m) can be seen.

Day 05 Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft) -4/5 hours
Today is the first acclimatization day of our trek. We will spend our day exploring around the village and hiking to nearby areas for spectacular views. We can hike to Syangboche Airstrip or Everest View Hotel for a stunning view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and the surrounding landscape. The Everest view Hotel holds a 2004 Guinness world record for the world's highest altitude hotel. Enjoy the first sight of Mt. Everest and the iconic Ama Dablam Mountain view. We then return to Namche and visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery.

Day 06 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m/12664ft) -5 hours
After breakfast, we trek towards Tengboche where the famous Tengboche monastery is located. Tengboche monastery is the oldest and largest monastery of the Khumbu region. The trail opens out to the Dudh Koshi River Valley at Phungki Thanka village. From here, we trek along the Dudh Koshi River on a forested trail and reach Tengboche village located at the confluence of the Dudh Koshi River and Imja Khola River. We will visit Tengboche monastery where we will see several antiques, sculptures, ancient manuscripts, and paintings. From the monastery, fantastic views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and many other mountains can be seen.

Day 07 Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4220m/14501ft) -5 hours
Crossing the Imja river on a suspension bridge, we continue our trek towards Dingboche village. We pass by Pangboche village and ascend through a forested trail before reaching Dingboche village. Dingboche is also known as, the summer valley of the Khumbu, and offers fine views of Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and Island Peak (6,189 m).

Day 08 Rest day at Dingboche (4420m/14501ft) -3/4 hours
This is our second rest day at Dingboche to allow acclimatization to the increased altitude. After breakfast, we can hike to Nagarjun located at 5,100 meters. The hike will be a little difficult due to the steep ascent. From the top, we will see superb views of Taboche Peak (6,542 m), Lobuche East (6,119 m), Lobuche West (6,135 m), Kangtega (6,782 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and Thamserku (6,623 m). Then, we will return to Dingboche for an overnight stay.

Day 09 Trek to Lobuche (4910m/16108ft) -5 hours
After breakfast, we continue our trek towards Thukla. On the way, we come across the Trekkers Aid Post located at Pheriche, which is operated with the help of western volunteer doctors and assisted by The Himalayan Rescue Association. Then, the trail will take us to Chupki Lhara, and then, we descend to the Khumbu Glacier moraine. Trekking along with beautiful views of the snow-capped mountains, we reach Lobuche.

Day 10 Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17598ft) and return to Gorak Shep (5140m/16864ft) -7/8 hours
Today, the trail will finally take us to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17598ft). After breakfast, we begin trekking with a view of Khumbu Glacier on our right side. We reach Gorak Shep which used to be the base camp of Everest at one time. Then, we ascend all the way up on a relatively rugged and snowy trail to reach Everest Base Camp. Upon reaching the base camp, we will experience the majestic beauty of the region. Then, we will trek back to Gorak Shep for the overnight stay.

Day 11 Trek to Pheriche (4240m/13910ft) via Kala Patthar (5545m/18192ft) -7/8 hours
Today, we will wake up early in the morning and hike up Kala Patthar (5545m/18192ft), which is a popular viewpoint. Upon reaching Kala Patthar, we will see one of the best sunrises of our lives along with outstanding views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), and numerous other mountains. This viewpoint also provides 360-degree panoramic views. After spending some time at Kala Patthar, we head back to Gorak Shep and continue descending towards Pheriche.

Day 12 Trek to Namche (3440m/11286ft) -6 hours
After breakfast, we trek back following the Imja River all the way down to Tengboche. From here, we continue descending down to Phungki Thanka. Before reaching Namche Bazar, we pass by Kyangjuma. The trail will pass through beautiful forests of pine & rhododendrons. Today is also our last chance to observe the lifestyle and culture of people residing in this extreme region of the world.

Day 13 Trek to Lukla (2840m/9318ft)-7hours
We trek back to Lukla today. Descending steeply, we cross a suspension bridge. The trail will be full of colorful prayer flags, chortens, mani walls, and small gompas. On the way, we will pass through dense forests of rhododendron & pine and small villages along with enchanting views of snowcapped mountains and marvellous scenery. Of course, nothing will motivate you more than a nice shower, good food and warm beds. Upon reaching Lukla, we will settle in at a guesthouse and celebrate the completion of our trip.

Day 14 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (1340/4420ft) -35 minutes
After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu. During the flight, we will see the last views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will head to our hotel and freshen up. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and stroll around the vibrant streets of Thamel. "Well done", you have successfully finished the Everest Base camp trek. "Great Job"!

Day 15 Free day in Kathmandu (1360m/4462ft)
Today is a free day in Kathmandu. You can explore around and visit the landmarks you haven’t already visited or just rest for the day while enjoying good food. You will also prepare to leave. Later in the evening, we visit a restaurant for a farewell dinner organized by Snowland Treks.

Day 16 Return Flight Home
As per your flight time, one of our representatives will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport and bid you farewell before your flight home. Hopefully, see you next year for another challenging adventure with Snowland Adventure.
