Manaslu Circuit Trek is an ideal trekking option for anyone looking for an off-the-beaten path trekking experience. Located in the western part of Nepal bordering Tibet, the Manaslu Circuit Trek will give you glorious views of Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), the eighth highest mountain of the world. The Manaslu region was opened for trekking in 1992 and the trek provides spectacular scenery in a less frequented area. Even during high season, you will find only a handful of trekking groups in this region, so that the nature and culture of the region is preserved. The trail will provide you stunning views of snow-capped mountains, shimmering glacial lakes, and diverse flora & fauna.

Along with mesmerizing views, the Manaslu Circuit Trek is also known for its uniquely mixed Tibetan-Nepali culture. Tamang and Sherpa people reside here. During your trek, you will pass through several small villages that will provide an opportunity to glimpse into the daily lifestyle of these people. Even after a short period, you will be part of a wayu of life that is completely different from the rest of the world.

After a couple of days ascending from the the starting point of the trek at Sotikhola ,the trail divides, where the left trail follows the Budi Gandaki river on the regular circuit and the right trail is for the Tsum valley trek. This valley also has a unique Tibetan culture.

No doubt, the Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the finest treks in Nepal. However, to go on a trek in this region, you must have special permission from the Nepal government as it is one of the restricted areas of Nepal. You will see amazing views of Himalayan mountains such as Mt. Manaslu (8,156 m), Himlung (7,126 m), Cheo Himal (6,820 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m), Chuli (5,895 m) and Larke Peak (6,476 m).
