Mardi Himal Trek is the shortest and easiest trek in the east of the Annapurna region. The trail is newly open, therefore, only a handful number of tourists visit this place every year making it perfect for someone looking for solitary. However, Mardi Himal Trek has gained lots of popularity over a short period of time for its beautiful views and peaceful environment. The trail goes through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, juniper, pine & other bushes, rocky mountain terrain, and various low base camps. Throughout the trail, you will get to see superb landscape views and Annapurna Himalayas. In some sections, the trail also gets steep and slippery, which adds the zest of adventure during the Mardi Himal Trekking. We, Snowland Adventure have professionally designed our 10 days Mardi Himal Trek itinerary to present you all the adventure of the trek. During the trek, you might come across numerous wildlife and rare species of birds. Similarly, you will get to witness panoramic views of Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Mardi Himal (5,587 m), Lamjung Himal (6,983), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m).
Useful Information
Mardi Himal Trek route:
Mardi Himal Trek begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara. You will get to see several small villages, dense forests, rivers, waterfalls, and terraced fields during the drive. From Pokhara, the trail will take you to Deurali through the forested path. Further, you will hike up to the Low Camp and then to High Camp. The trail from here will take you to Mardi Base Camp located at 4,200 meters. You will get to see spectacular sceneries from here. Spending a night at Mardi Base Camp, you will descend down to Siding village, and continue trekking towards Lawang village from where you will drive back to Pokhara.
Mardi Himal Trek difficulty:
Mardi Himal Trek is a short and easy trek in the Annapurna region. That means anyone with regular health and fitness can effortlessly do Mardi Himal Trekking. However, you have to ascend and descend 5 to 6 hours in minimum on a daily basis, so good stamina is needed. However, the trail to Base camp is very narrow, slippery, and snow buried in winter. Trekking pole and crampons are required to have in this trek. The tea house in Mardi Himal is closing in winter so it is also difficult to find accommodation during the offseason time of the year.
Best time to go on Mardi Himal Trek:
The weather varies throughout the year here. Spring and Autumn is the best time to go on Mardi Himal Trek. During this time of the year, the sky is blue & clear, the mountain views become more prominent, and forests get bloomed up with colorful rhododendron and other wild floras. Be a part of this adventurous journey, and we, Snowland adventure is the team of enthusiastic workers so our guest's safety and comfort are our team's first priority. We will make sure, with us, this trip will become the lifelong memory of your life. Note:
Due to global warming, the weather in the mountain and the hilly region has changed unusually. Because of this, we are facing some problems with bad weather, heavy rainfall, landside, highway blocked, flight delayed, or even canceled for a day. Sometimes because of the road traffic, we couldn't arrive on time. It may happen at any time of the year because we can't predict the weather condition and other situations. Therefore, if possible, we would like to suggest adding an extra supplement day before your international flight. If everything is going well, you have a beautiful day to visit any interesting place in the historical city.
