However, Mardi Himal Trek is gaining popularity for its beautiful views and peaceful environment. The trail passes through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, juniper and pine, rocky mountain terrain, and various low base camps. Throughout the trail, you will see superb views of the Annapurna Himalaya. In some sections, the trail is steep and slippery, which adds a slightly adventurous dimension to the trek. We, Snowland Adventure have professionally designed our 10 days Mardi Himal Trek itinerary to present to you all the adventure of the trek. The Mardi Himal trekking is also popularly known as sunrise and sunset view trek because the trail will take you to the top of a hill from where gorgeous sunrise/sunset views can be observed. You will pass through small villages where you will have a chance to get closer to locals and learn about their traditions, culture, and lifestyle. The entire region is extremely rich in vegetation. During the trek, you may see a rich variety of wildlife and rare species of birds. Similarly, you will see panoramic views of Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Mardi Himal (5,587 m), Lamjung Himal (6,983) and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m).

Useful Information

Mardi Himal Trek route:

Mardi Himal Trek begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara. You will see several small villages, dense forests, rivers, waterfalls, and terraced fields during the drive. From Pokhara, the trail will take you to Deurali along a forest path. Further, you will hike up to Low Camp and then to High Camp. The trail from here will take you to Mardi Himal Base Camp located at 4,200 meters. You will see spectacular scenery from here. After spending a night at Mardi Himal Base Camp, you will descend to Siding village, and continue trekking towards Lawang village from where you will drive back to Pokhara.

Mardi Himal Trek difficulty:

Mardi Himal Trek is a short and easy trek in the Annapurna region. That means anyone with good health and fitness can complete the Mardi Himal Trek. However, you have to ascend and descend for 5 to 6 hours on a daily basis, so good stamina is needed. In parts, the trail is narrow and slippery and can be snow covered in winter, so trekking poles and crampons are required for this trek. The teahouse at Mardi Himal Base Camp is closed in winter, so it also difficult to find accommodation during the low season.

Best time to go on Mardi Himal Trek:

The weather varies throughout the year here. Spring and Autumn are the best periods for the Mardi Himal Trek. At this time of the year, the skies are blue, the mountain views are clear, and forests bloom with colorful rhododendrons and other flora. If you would like to do this trek, we, Snowland Adventure is a team of enthusiastic workers, so guest safety and comfort is our top priority. We will make sure that this trip will become a lifelong memory. For more information about the Mardi Himal trek cost, map, or itinerary, please feel free to contact us anytime

Note:
Due to climate change, the weather in the mountains and hilly regions has become more unpredictable. Because of this, we are facing some problems with bad weather, heavy rainfall, landslides, blocked  highways and flight delays or even cancellations for a day. Sometimes, because of the road traffic, we are unable to arrive on time. It may happen at any time of the year because we cannot predict the weather conditions and other situations. Therefore, if possible, we would like to suggest adding an extra supplementary day before your return international flight. If everything goes well, you will have a beautiful day to visit any interesting place in the historical city.
