Updated news on Covid-19 in Nepal and Visa-on-arrival

From the end of 2019, the corona virus pandemic started. The source of Covid-19 was believed to be from Wuhan, China which is being spread so fast that more than 90,000 confirmed cases has been found among them more than 3,100 infected people have died and almost 48,000 infected people has been recovered. Until today's date 75 country has confirmed the cases in which Nepal is also one of them and according to WHO more than 130 countries have not detected any cases yet. In Nepal only one person was confirmed of having Covid-19 and he has been recovered fully.

Since Nepal government was promoting it's international tourism promotional activities world-wide due to Covid-19 epidemic, the promotional activities are deferred by the government of Nepal. According to the Department of Immigration of Nepal, last year Nepal has received 1.19 million international tourist and was expecting to visit more than 2 million international tourist this year under the campaign of "Visit Nepal 2020". For the arrival in Nepal mostly international tourist has to take a transit from China because of which this year the income of International tourist in Nepal is not be flowed.

Coming to the condition of visa for the arrival of International tourist in Nepal, Department of Immigration has took a action regarding Visa-on-arrival.
