I had fantastic 15 days on the Annapurna Circuit thanks to Ram and Samsher. Beside a very caring manner Ram forwarded knowledge and love to flora and fauna of the stunning surrounding. Even though I hat doubts to have the right fitness he was able to always choose the right speed and length of route. I had the best time with a lot of fun with them. I just finished the 2 night trek to Chipani and Nargarkot with snowland and Ram as my guide. It was a great two days training for my bigger trek in Annapurna. The sunrise both mornings was spectacular and a great start to my trip. Ram was the perfect guide and I really enjoyed our conversations along the trek. He also always focused on my health and making sure I picked food in the tea houses that would be safe and healthy. Thank you ram, I found your company by chance walking around Kathmandu but I now feel I have someone I can contact for future Nepal trips.

For our first time in Nepal, we went to the Annapurna circuit with Mr Ram from Snowland Treks. Deeply in love with his mountains and his culture, Mr Ram has the natural ability to make you feel like a true Nepalese. My friend and I completed the Manasulu / Tsum valley trek in October 2017 and can’t recommend it highly enough – but go soon as there’s lots of evidence of its growing popularity. And be prepared for an intense physical challenge: 30 degree heat down to freezing; “Nepali flat” all the way (ie quite a lot of up and quite a lot of down); routine vertiginous drops, effects of altitude, etc. All of this, however, is easily outweighed by stunning and varied scenery, local culture, lovely people and not too much tourism. Passing briefly through the tail end of the Annapurna circuit made us SO glad we’d chosen our route. We spent about 5 days In Tsum (but could’ve taken longer) and trekked for 18 days in total. 3 or 4 days R&R in Pokhara at the end is definitely the thing to do at the end. Go soon – before you’re too old or it changes! Having a good guide is key to having a good experience. Luckily we happened upon the guide to die for: Ram Adhikari. Ram was experienced, full of local knowledge, very concerned for our welfare and above all fun and friendly (not something every trekker seemed to be experiencing). Myself and my partner hiked with Ram and a porter for nearly three weeks. Ram was absolutely excellent! I had very little hiking experience and my partner had lots - but Ram found a perfect balance to keep us both happy. He was attentive, kind and caring without being intrusive. He was genuine and kept his promises. If I ever go back to Nepal I would defiantly ask Ram to guide for us again and would recommend him to any friend visiting Nepal. We met Ram during the Annapurna circuit. After one dinner, we decided to follow him. It was a really great experience. Ram is a good guide and friend. I would follow him everywhere in Nepal ! Maybe next time to the Everest Base Camp ? :)More Date of experience: July 2017

Together with two friends we decided to come to Nepal to do the Manaslu circuit trek. We had seen the beautiful pictures and read the great reviews online, so the expectations were high. And reality exceeded our expectations. We met Ram at the airport of Kathmandu, where he was waiting for us for a full day after our fight got diverted. He took us to dinner and at that point we already knew we made the right decision in choosing this agency. There are many guides and agencies organising these treks, but there's a lot of difference between them. Ram knows the area, the people living in the area. He makes sure the food prepared in the lodges is safe, makes sure we could deal with the altitude as well as possible. He's also constantly looking how we were doing and seeing if he had to adapt the initial plans. He explained the cultural customs from the people in the region... It's obvious he has a lot of experience. And apart from being a great professional guide, he's also become a good friend. We played the Nepalese card game Dhumbal, drank lots of teas together. From the first minute we met Ram, we knew it was going to be a good Manaslu trip. He is professional and fun! Professional because he is a hiking expert and knows all about acclimatization, equipment and the trails. Ram knows all good places (and antis :) )  in every village along the trail. Fun because he is always in for a joke. His enthusiasm is a cherry on the cake for this trip. We can highly recommend Ram to everyone who wants a professional and fun guide.
